Updated Information Regarding the Spring Garden Concert:

*The Beaufort Historic Site regrets that the original trio, Novos Caminhos, is unable to make the April 10 performance date due to USCIS visa delays for two of its members. About the Ian Coury Trio:

The Ian Coury Trio presents a virtuosic concert that celebrates the richness of Brazilian music in dialogue with contemporary jazz led by award-winning Brazilian mandolinist, Ian Coury. The Beaufort Historic Site brings world class entertainment to its beautiful lawn setting for an evening Spring Garden Concert not to be missed!

Ian Coury

Coury is a virtuoso of the 10-string mandolin and a Master’s graduate from Berklee College of Music, this instrumental trio features Ian’s original compositions as well as classics of the Brazilian repertoire re-imagined by three world-class musicians.

Since he was a nationally recognized prodigy in his native Brazil, Ian has been expanding the possibilities of the 10-string mandolin by exploring new sounds, improvisation, and musical freedom. His work seeks to push beyond the traditional boundaries of the instrument, building bridges between the traditions of Brazilian music and the open, contemporary language of jazz.

Seba Ramírez

Seba Ramírez is a global percussionist and drummer known for blending Paraguayan music, Brazilian music, jazz, and contemporary styles to expand the boundaries of percussion. He has toured across Europe, South America, and the US, performing and recording with a wide range of artists including Terry Lyne Carrington, Fabio Leal, Carol Panesi, and Jota P.

Maxim Lubarsky

Maxim Lubarsky is a virtuoso pianist from Odessa, Ukraine, renowned for his stylistic versatility and deep musicality. His repertoire spans classical, jazz, and music of Latin America, showcasing his ability to merge different styles seamlessly. Trained as a classical pianist at the prestigious Stolyarsky School and Odessa State Conservatory, he later discovered his passion for jazz, founding the award-winning group, Art Session. After touring internationally and performing with the Odessa State Symphony, he moved to the U.S. upon receiving a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music.
