    Join the Beaufort Historic Site at the Welcome Center on Tuesday, August 4th, from 9:00am to 4:00pm for a Madras Planter Workshop, part of the Living History Series. This madras planter has 3" x 10" solid maple base. It is woven with space dyed reed and #3round reed. It is about 4" tall and comes with 3 clay pots for planting. This basket looks great on a window sill or kitchen counter! Whether you're new to quilting or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on workshop offers the opportunity to learn three traditional techniques: hand piecing, hand quilting, and creating a quilt block. Instructor Nancy Smith will provide step-by-step guidance through each technique, helping participants build confidence while exploring the timeless art of quilting.
