Mattie King Davis Art Gallery
Where Art, History, and Heritage Meet
The oldest art gallery in Carteret County, the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery has been showing the work of local and regional artists from one of the most historically significant buildings on the Beaufort Historic Site.
Located in the historic Rustell House c.1732 on the Beaufort Historic Site, the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery showcases original works by local and regional artists inspired by the North Carolina coast. The collection spans oils, watercolors, acrylics, pottery, glass, jewelry, cards, weavings, and more. A portion of all sales supports the Beaufort Historical Association’s ongoing educational programs and restoration projects.
The gallery is open year-round, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
