The Beaufort Historic Site is thrilled to announce that the exceedingly talented Jim Carson is the featured artist for the 2019 Old Homes Tour & More, and his paintings will be on display in the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery from June through July.

Known for his creative color balance and bold and spontaneous brushwork, Jim’s favorite subject matter is catching and carrying the light and shadow patterns through a painting, whether in an outdoor landscape, cityscape, interior, or still life.

The Beaufort Historical Association extends a special thanks to the home owners and garden owners whose invaluable participation in the tour allows our visitors to experience Beaufort’s unique heritage first hand. An additional huge thank you goes to the Old Homes Tour Committee and the many volunteers who devote so many hard working hours to make this tour such an amazing event.
