Description

This photo was taken when The Grayden Paul Bridge was dedicated. It was the second drawbridge to come to Beaufort. It was dedicated in 1957 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Ma Taylor, one of the most celebrated women in town, was honored in the first car driven over the bridge. She is shown here along with Dick Parker, a local automobile dealer and prominent business person, and Dan Walker, the Town Manager at the time.
