The Warped Weavers have been volunteering at the Beaufort Historic Site for over 30 years and they sell all of their rugs\, towels\, and other items in the Old Beaufort Shop. Stop by the Leffers Cottage or Mattie King Davis Art Gallery\, you might want to learn to do it too! Every Monday and Wednesday up through the end of the year! Be sure to bring your mask! \n  \n  \n**The Weavers plan to weave every Monday and Wednesday in the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery or the Leffers Cottage between 10 a.m. until noon. Please call 252-728-5225 to make sure the weavers are in before visiting. They want to be ready to welcome you!!** \n  \n

Thank you. \nRug hooking has been around for centuries.  It started out for those that could not afford machine-made carpets.  They would use scraps of materials that were available at the time.  It is still a time-honored craft\, and we would like to invite you to come to learn how to hook a small piece to take home! Thank you. \nA barn quilt is a large piece of painted wood that looks like a single quilt block and decorates the side of a barn or building.  Our barn quilts will be 24”x24” and you will be able to take your quilt home with you! Please sign up by calling 252-728-5225 or in the Beaufort Historic Site Welcome Center\, 130 Turner St. \nMaterials Fee $60\, an additional fee for a monogram and frame (read more below)- Limit 6.  Non- refundable materials fee must be paid one week in advance.
