DESCRIPTION:Colonial-Era Fun Days\, A Summer ½ Day Camp\, August 10 – 14\, is for Youth ages 7-11 on the Grounds of the Beaufort Historic Site in historic downtown Beaufort. Step back in time and experience what days were like for kids in the 18th and 19th century. Docents will guide campers each day from 9:00am – 12:00pm through a wide variety of fun\, hands-on activities including colonial crafts\, traditional games\, historical cooking\, food preservation techniques\, period music\, and more!  \nRegistration Cost: \n$200 for the week for children or grandchildren of current/active members \n$225 for non-members (Includes a 1-year Contributor Level Membership)  \nMonday – Day in the life of colonial child\, making a rope bed\, human loom\, and games. \nTuesday – Open hearth cooking/baking\, butter churning\, sachet making\, and food preservation. \nWednesday – Fiber Crafts\, lucet fork cord cording\, weaving\, spinning\, flax preparation\, and natural dyes. \nThursday – Other crafts\, music\, and musical instruments. \nFriday – Celebration of the week’s activities with photos and homemade ice cream and Pirate Treasure hunt!
