SUMMARY:Floor Cloth Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Area canvas rugs\, today known as floor cloth\, had their start in 18th century England.  Initially used by the wealthy\, the designs and patterns mimicked parquet flooring\, tile\, and marble.  Unique designs are made in a variety of styles and colors\, using many techniques. The floor for our class will be painted on a piece of linoleum flooring measuring 24″x36″ Join us in learning the art and fun of these floor clothes!  Beginners welcome! SUMMARY:Wild Rose Stained Glass Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Wild Rose Glass has been creating\, repairing\, and teaching the age-old art of Stained Glass for over 40 years! They are a local family business that hosts workshops and classes year-round at their studio on Harker’s Island. In this hands-on class\, you will learn history\, tools\, and techniques\, and go home with your very own creation at the end of class! \nLearn to cut glass\, use a wet grinder\, foil\, solder\, and patina! Create one of seven projects\, funky crab\, fish bones\, jellyfish\, jumbo shrimp\, starfish\, sailboat\, or a hummingbird! All skill levels are welcome! We supply all materials. \nPlease wear close-toed shoes. And if you would like to\, bring your own safety glasses if possible.
