Nicole’s passion for art has been a lifelong journey\, beginning with her early work creating TV storyboards\, an experience that continues to shape the storytelling quality of her paintings today. Growing up in a family of restaurateurs\, she developed a natural instinct for observing people\, capturing their character and interactions with a distinctive narrative flair. On May 14 and 15\, jury-selected artists from across the country and around the world will paint on location throughout Beaufort\, transforming the town into an open-air studio. \n  \nLive Painting Throughout the Day\nArtists will be actively painting across Beaufort’s waterfront\, docks\, historic district\, and scenic coastal locations. Visitors are invited to watch works develop in real time and engage with artists as they paint. \nA list of participating artists with preview samples of their past work is available on the ncpleinair.org home page. \nTo help visitors find artists in the field\, the festival uses the En Plein Air Artist Locator\, a mobile app that shows real-time artist locations during painting hours. DESCRIPTION:Tour private homes in Beaufort and ride on the decked out double-decker bus. Homeowners\, churches\, and inns will open their doors so that the public can delight in their festive décor and decorations. The Beaufort Historic Site buildings will also be open. While the tour is walkable\, the double-decker bus will be stopping a long a route and dropping folks off. \nTickets are $25. DESCRIPTION:They say COVID changed everything\, but thank goodness the Fall Party has only had minor changes. In 2020 we completely cancelled the party. In 2021 plans changed quickly from a private home and the party was moved to the Historic Site. It gave us more room and a whole art gallery to hang all the amazing art. This year the party will again take place on the grounds of the Historic Site. Blue Moon Jazz and Scarborough Fare will be back. This year\, we are fortunate to have two accomplished artists\, Audrey Cushman from New Bern\, NC and Karen Crenshaw from Jacksonville\, NC. We got to know Audrey and Karen through our partnership with NC Plein Air New Bern when the BHA hosted a paint out and wet paint sale in Beaufort. This event has grown tremendously in only 4 short years into an eight-day event with 35 nationally and globally acclaimed plein air artists.
