SUMMARY:Historic Beaufort Christmas Candlelight Tour
DESCRIPTION:Tour private homes in Beaufort and ride on the decked out double-decker bus. Homeowners\, churches\, and inns will open their doors so that the public can delight in their festive décor and decorations. The Beaufort Historic Site buildings will also be open. While the tour is walkable\, the double-decker bus will be stopping a long a route and dropping folks off. \nTickets are $25. If interested in purchasing a kids ticket (ages 6 -12)\, please call 252-728-5225. Kids 5 and under are free. For more information call 252-728-5225 or stop in at the Beaufort Historic Site Welcome Center\, 130 Turner St. \nYour tickets will be held in will-call\, and you may pick them up at the Welcome Center during regular business hours or the day of the event. The Old Beaufort Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 – 5 p.m. and is located on the grounds of the Beaufort Historic Site at 130 Turner Street. \n  \nTickets are now offline due to the high number of ticket sales. SUMMARY:Fall Party
DESCRIPTION:They say COVID changed everything\, but thank goodness the Fall Party has only had minor changes. In 2020 we completely cancelled the party. In 2021 plans changed quickly from a private home and the party was moved to the Historic Site. It gave us more room and a whole art gallery to hang all the amazing art. This year the party will again take place on the grounds of the Historic Site. Blue Moon Jazz and Scarborough Fare will be back. This year\, we are fortunate to have two accomplished artists\, Audrey Cushman from New Bern\, NC and Karen Crenshaw from Jacksonville\, NC. We got to know Audrey and Karen through our partnership with NC Plein Air New Bern when the BHA hosted a paint out and wet paint sale in Beaufort. This event has grown tremendously in only 4 short years into an eight-day event with 35 nationally and globally acclaimed plein air artists. DESCRIPTION:A group of juried artists and volunteers from the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery will open a show of their own\, titled Square Perspectives\, on the evening of August 25th. The show’s name reflects the art that will be shown: each artist will create various square paintings to hang in the gallery’s main two rooms. This is a FREE EVENT.
