DESCRIPTION:The Beaufort Historic Site will host the North Carolina Plein Air Beaufort Pop-up Exhibition & Sale on Thursday\, May 15th\, and Friday\, May 16th\, from 4 to 6 p.m. This special event will showcase original works created by the talented artists selected for the NC Plein Air Art Festival. Visitors will be able to meet the artists\, view a diverse range of fresh\, locally inspired artwork\, and purchase pieces directly from the easel! \n  \nNorth Carolina Plein Air is a non-profit arts organization that brings together world-class juried artists from across the globe to paint throughout Beaufort with a “wet” paint sale following both days. Many paintings created during the event center around Beaufort’s outdoor landscapes and have in the past featured surrounding marshes\, the waterfront\, downtown architecture\, and streets lined with historic homes.
