DESCRIPTION:The Mattie King Davis Art Gallery is excited to welcome Durham artist\, Tony Alderman\, this coming August. The opening will be held at the gallery on Friday\, August 4 from 4:00 – 6 p.m. Alderman will be the featured artist from August 4 to August 19.  Alderman’s show will feature 20 beautiful paintings showcasing the preservation of North Carolina Coastal heritage. Most of the paintings featured will be in his new book “Down East: A Cultural Heritage.” FREE EVENT
