The Beaufort Historic Site will host its 30th Annual Publick Day on Saturday, April 13,
Publick Day is fashioned after “Publick Times” which was held in Williamsburg during the General Court sessions of the 1700s. This event brought many people to town to conduct legal business, so local merchants and other enterprising colonials would set up shop along the busy streets. To re-create this setting, booths are not assigned at Publick Day, but rather vendors are encouraged to “set up shop” wherever they like around the site. Space is on a first-come, first-serve
No admission charge. Vendor information is available for this fun spring event.
