30th Annual Publick Day

The Beaufort Historic Site will host its 30th Annual Publick Day on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This one-day festival features vendors, music, food, and entertainment in the picturesque setting of the Beaufort Historic Site. A variety of vendors will be on-site to sell their wares in beautiful historic downtown Beaufort.

Publick Day is fashioned after “Publick Times” which was held in Williamsburg during the General Court sessions of the 1700s. This event brought many people to town to conduct legal business, so local merchants and other enterprising colonials would set up shop along the busy streets. To re-create this setting, booths are not assigned at Publick Day, but rather vendors are encouraged to “set up shop” wherever they like around the site. Space is on a first-come, first-serve basis, unless you have reserved a space under the BHA tent, which will be set up in the center of the grounds.

No admission charge. Vendor information is available for this fun spring event.
