“I’ve just discovered a wonderful author that I adore…A ‘don’t bother me, I’m reading’ story that has you smiling and crying for each of the ladies.” –Books-A-Million
The south is known for breeding brilliant storytellers and Kristy Woodson Harvey has proven herself to be one of the south’s most heartfelt female-driven authors of our generation.” — Jaime Pressly, star of CBS’s Mom
The Beaufort Historical Association is excited to partner again with author Kristy Harvey for a launch party for her latest book, Slightly South of Simple with all the proceeds benefiting the Beaufort Historical Association. The book officially launches in NYC on April 25, so this is a chance to get the book before it is available in stores. The event will be held at the home of Will and Kristy Harvey at 217 Front Street in Beaufort on Friday, April 21 at 6:30 pm. Great food by Vivian Howard of Chef and The Farmer and a chance to meet and mingle with Kristy will make this a great event. Tickets are $100 and include a copy of Slightly South of Simple. Event goers will have the rare opportunity to have a book before it is available to the public and from what we’ve heard; the setting is suspiciously similar to our own sea side town of Beaufort.
