Site where it is our mission not only to preserve the
historical heritage of Beaufort and Carteret County but
also to offer a deeper look at this fascinating coastal

Tour Information
The Beaufort Historic Site offers guided
historic buildings
tours, a narrated tour of the historic district aboard a
vintage English Double Decker bus, and tours of the
enchanting Old Burying
Ground.

Hours of Operation
The Safrit Historical Center houses friendly staff and
volunteers armed with a wealth of knowledge about
Beaufort and the surrounding area. Exhibits on
Beaufort’s history, and the Old Beaufort Shop, the
museum gift shop of the Beaufort Historic Site are also
here. All tour tickets must be purchased here and tours
depart from this location.

Grounds Rental
The picturesque two-acre grounds of the Beaufort
Historic Site are available for your wedding, family
reunion or other special event. Click

Group Tours
Special group rates (discounts of 10%) and times are
available for groups of 30 or more for all guided tours.
The double-decker bus may also be chartered.
