The Beaufort Old Homes Tour & Antique Show Weekend will be ushered in with great food, fun and art at the annual Kickoff Party at the Beaufort Historic Site on June 4th from 5:30-7:30 pm. The party will be held in conjunction with the art opening for Bunny Matthews, this year’s Old Homes & Gardens Tour featured artist. Her artwork will be showcased on all the publicity for the Tour and Antique Show Weekend. The dates of the Old Homes Tour are June 24-25 and the Antique Show will be held June 24-26, 2016.
This special event is held each year as a way to thank the homeowners who graciously open their homes and gardens and make the tour possible. Kickoff Party guests will be treated to recipes from the Beaufort Cooks cookbook series full of recipes from local residents. These include Beaufort Cooks featuring recipes from local inns, B & B’s, and restaurants, Men Who Cook, Volume 2, a compilation of dishes from the men of Beaufort, and Beaufort Parties, Volume 3. The newest volume will feature recipes for entertaining at parties that are unique to Beaufort, such as porch parties, creek cruising parties and cookouts at the Rachel Carson Reserve. Local residents and chefs who entertain with southern hospitality using the bounty of ingredients from our local farms and waterways have contributed to this latest book which guests will be sure to appreciate. In addition to all the great food, several bartenders from area restaurants, as well as local “celebrity” bartenders will be showcasing their drink recipes from the Beaufort Parties cookbook.

Combination tickets for the Kickoff Party, the Old Homes Tour and the Antiques Show are also available at discounted prices. Funds raised from the event go directly to help the Beaufort Historic Site with ongoing educational programs as well as the maintenance needs of the 14 buildings on the Historic Site grounds.
