The Mattie King Davis Art
Gallery, the oldest in Carteret County, can be found in
the historic Rustell House, c1732, on the grounds of the
Beaufort Historic Site. Housing the juried works of art
created by over 100 local and regional artists, you'll
find a wide variety of memorable artwork including oils,
watercolors, fine photography, pottery, jewelry, and
more.
Artist, John Silver, is the
Mattie King Davis Art Gallery's featured artist for June
and July of 2009. His artwork will be on display
during the 49th annual Old Homes and Gardens Tour, June

Marion Clark Weathers comes
to the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery as the featured
artist for August and September 2009. Her artwork
consists of bright watercolors with bursting flower
bouquets and her most recent work with oils of local
scenes of Beaufort and Carteret County. Don't miss
