Kindergarten Thanksgiving
Held on six mornings in early November, each
group spends approximately 30 minutes learning
how early settlers lived in Beaufort. Students
will see how cooking was done in an open hearth,
watch as cloth is woven on a large loom,
participate in churning butter, and finally will
get to meet “Mr. Leffers”, a local schoolmaster
who tells them about how early settlers prepared
for winter.
