VALENTINE MEMBERSHIP PARTY

Food, fun and fellowship are what it's all about at The Beaufort Historical Association's Annual Valentine Membership Drive. The authentically restored homes and buildings of the Beaufort Historic Site will be wide open on Sunday, February 12, between 2 and 4 pm, as we welcome current members and encourage new members to join.

LIVING HISTORY PROGRAM
Saturday, March 10th | 2pm
The first program of the 2012 Living History Series will celebrate Black History and will discuss the life and work of Pierre and Annie Henry, leaders in the education of emancipated slaves. The Henrys are buried in the Old Burying Ground
VOLUNTEER TRAINING
Thursday, March 15th | 9am - 4pm
Attendees are invited for an orientation for those interested in volunteering at the Beaufort Historic Site. Anyone interested in historic preservation and research, student educational programs, driving a double-decker bus, leading tours, retail sales in the the gift shop or helping with the many committees that are the backbone of the Association are welcomed to attend.
CIVIL WAR - 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF UNION COOUPATION OF BEAUFORT

Help commemorate the 150th anniversary of Union occupation of Beaufort and relive these times of turmoil during a special series of activities on March 24th and 25th with a collaboration of events put on by the Maritime Museum, Beaufort Historic Site, Fort Macon State Park, Cape Lookout National Seashore, and The History Place as they bring the county together for a Living History Weekend for the entire family.

Juried sale of arts and crafts of coastal artisans held three weekends a year. Held at the Beaufort Historic Site on Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day, and at another venue for a three-week show between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this is the perfect occasion to browse and buy the work of coastal artists and craftsmen.

OLD HOMES AND GARDEN TOUR KICKOFF PARTY
Saturday, June 2nd | 4:30pm - 6:30pm at the Beaufort Historic Site
The Old Homes & Garden Tour Kickoff Party will be held at the Beaufort Historic Site, 100 Block of Turner Street. The party is held in honor of Old Homes Tour homeowners, garden owners, sponsors and this year's honorary chairs, John & Polly Hagle. We will have Sam Sellars preparing his famous fried fish along with other delectable hors d'oeuvres. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Jaquelin Perry, featured artist for the Old Homes Tour, who will have her paintings in the Mattie King Davis Art Gallery for show and sale through June and July.
BEAUFORT OLD HOMES AND GARDENS TOUR
Saturday, June 22nd - 23rd
This 52nd annual walking tour of private historic homes, gardens, churches and meeting halls is the last full weekend in June. Private homes, Beaufort Historic Site buildings, the Old Burying Ground, narrated bus tours of the historic district, music concerts and an antique car show are all highlights of this signature event.
ANTIQUE SHOW & SALE

Held in conjunction with the Beaufort Old Homes and Gardens Tour in June at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City, this event features more than 40 booths of antiques and collectibles, as well as a gourmet Tea Room.
